Wilton Police Reports: Stolen Vehicle, DUI, Youth Party

On August 16, Wilton Police arrested a 17 year old Ridgefield resident after they were dispatched to Andy Stewart Landscaping Design in Wilton after the business owner reported a stolen truck. Shortly after, a motor vehicle crash was reported. According to the Police Report, one of the vehicles was evading the scene. Police say they noticed a damaged truck in the area. The truck matched the description of the vehicle reported stolen from Andy Stewart Landscaping Design. Police say they engaged in a pursuit and eventually used spike strips to stop the vehicle. It was determined that the operator damaged other items in the vicinity where truck was stolen. The juvenie suspect was charged with: Larceny 1st, Burglary 3rd. 4 counts Criminal Mischief, Engaging Police pursuit, Evading Responsibility.

On August 20, Wilton Police report that they arrested a 37 Stamford man for a DUI with with children in her vehicle in the vicinity of Danbury Road and School Road. The arrest came after Police received a 911 call about an erratic driver. Officers say they detected an odor of alcohol coming from the driver who was given field sobriety tests that he did not perform to standard. 

On August 15, Wilton Police arrested an 18 year old from Wilton for Possession of Alcohol by a Minor and Serving Alcohol. The arrest came after officers responded to a nooice complaint on Kellogg Drive in Wilton. Officers found a house party at 53 Kellogg Drive. Police say that as they approached the house to make contact, all of the individuals present ran into the woods. While doing a safety check inside the resident, the 18 year old stated tha the was having a few friends over while his parents were in North Carolina and the party go out of hand.
