Wilton Police: Money Found, Pot, Identity Theft & More

On August 21 at 9:30 am, Wilton Police noticed an odor of marijuana coming from an occupied parked vehicle in the Gateway Shopping Center. Police say they made contact with 51-year-old Wilton resident, Martha Zalesny, who confirmed she was actively smoking medical marijuana. A search of the vehicle yielded several loose prescription pills outside of their original containers, medical marijuana and cocaine. Ms. Zalesny was arrested an processed. 

On Thursday, August 24, Wilton Bank of American (117 Old Ridgefield Road) contact the Wilton Police regarding a man attempting to cash a fraudulent check. Shortly after officers arrived, the male, Shaquille Williams of the Bronx, was located in a white Nissan Maxima in the Stop & Shop parking lot. With him in the vehicle was Jonathan Tuck. After they conducted an investigation, Wilton Police took the two men into custody charging them with Identity Theft, Forgery, and Larceny. The case remains under investigation.

On August 23, Wilton Police responded to the report of a suspicious motor vehicle located at Merwin Meadow. The park was closed at the time of the report. During the search, police located 2.3g of marijuana located in the vehicle. The marijuana belonged to Norwalk resident, Junior Sierra-Peralta, age 21. He was issued a citation for his second offense.
