Yorktown Vigil for Recent Victims of Gun Violence

On Monday, August 12, The Yorktown Rotary held a vigil for the recent Victims of gun violence at 7:30PM at the Mohegan Colony Beach in Mohegan Lake, NY

Rotary President, Isabel Cavanagh opened the ceremony explaining that Rotary is an international, non-political humanitarian service organization advancing good will & peace.

Speakers included:
Pastor Dave Dockweiler, St Andrews Lutheran
Ken Belfer, Mohegan Colony
Ilan Gilbert, Yorktown Supervisor
Barry Graubart, Moms Demand Action


Rabbi Yehuda Heber closed the program with prayer. 31 flowers were released to float on the lake to honor the recent deaths in Dayton & El Paso.
