Welcome to Bethel HamletHub!

Welcome to Bethel Hamlet Hub, your newest online "hometown" news source written by locals for locals. Bethel Hamlet Hub’s writers all live in Bethel and have their finger on the pulse of the latest happenings in and around town. Our goal is to give local residents, non-profits and businesses an outlet to let their voice be heard about the latest issues and happenings around town. Contributors who write for us are experts in their field and will share interesting and informative tips related to their field or expertise. Bethel Hamlet Hub's editor is Wendy Mitchell, a professional freelance writer, drama instructor, puppeteer, musician, wife and mother.

Our mission is to bring Bethel residents the most current information on news, schools, sports, government, the arts and living. We strive to help local businesses, charities and non-profits in our community thrive, by promoting them on our website, Facebook and Twitter pages, and writing feature articles about them. In addition, our blog will be featured on Hearst Media Group’s news sites, which includes the Danbury News Times, Connecticut Post, the Stamford Advocate, Greenwich Times and more.

We help our local businesses by keeping ad rates as low as possible. Because we are locally owned, we can keep the rates much lower than the other news websites and newspapers.

Hamlet Hub was started in 2009 by journalist/editor Kerry Anne Ducey and began as "Ridgefield Blog." After readership grew tremendously, Ridgefield Blog changed to Ridgefield Hamlet Hub and has expanded to include Bethel, Wilton and Norwalk Hamlet Hub sites.

Articles will include features from your favorite restaurants on wining and dining. We will have weekly columns from the First Selectman Matthew Knickerbocker, a column called "Chamber Chatter" featuring news from the Bethel Chamber of Commerce, "Toy Talk" by Kimberly Ramsey, owner of The Toy Room and a Health & Wellness fitness column from Daniel Gaita, owner of Private Studio Fitness and much more! Other local news will include the latest updates and happenings from from the Stony Hill Four Corners Association, Bethel Republicans and Democrats, news from the Bethel Library, Women's Club, Garden Club, Lion's Club and many more.

Bethel Hamlet Hub will keep readers informed on everything from town government to little league, from school budgets to school sock hops. Articles on pet adoptions, gardening, food and wine, local arts and entertainment and the music scene will keep readers informed on how much our town has to offer. If it’s happening in Bethel, you can read about it on Bethel Hamlet Hub.
