You may have noticed that interleague play is different this year. Instead of being compounded into a few weeks, the AL vs. NL games are scattered around the schedule. Even still, interstate rivalries are staying put and this year’s Yankees vs. Mets games will be different this year, schedule wise at least.
Rather than play six games, the teams will play an unusual four game series split between the two stadiums; two at Citi Field, two at Yankee Stadium.
Here is the schedule:
Monday, May 27: Yankees (Hughes 2-3) vs. Mets (Niese 3-5) 7:10 p.m. CW11 (WPIX), YES
Tuesday, May 28: Yankees (Kuroda 6-3) vs. Mets (Harvey 5-0) 7:10 p.m. My9, SNY, ESPN
Wednesday, May 29: Mets (Hefner 0-5) vs. Yankees (Phelps 3-2) 7:05 p.m. YES, SNY
