Bethel Middle School Students Participated in CMEA's Western Region Middle School Music Festival

Bethel Middle School is proud to announce that eight of its chorus students participated in the Connecticut Music Educators Association (CMEA)'s annual 2-day Western Region Middle School Music Festival, held March 16 & 17 at Western Connecticut State University.  These students were selected by their choir director, Mr. Todd Gorski, a CMEA member.  These students prepared music weekly after school with Mr. Gorski from January through March and joined singers from dozens of middle schools in Connecticut's Western Region to create a large choir of the highest quality.  These students spent two days under the direction of Sophia Miller, a conductor of the Young People's Chorus in New York City.  Saturday's choir concert featured pieces in three different languages, and included a deeply moving arrangement of the popular Irish tune "Danny Boy".

These students are exceptional members of Bethel's award-winning music department.
