Enjoy a Taste of Tuscany at Regional Hospice & Home Care Fundraising Gala

Penne alla Boscaiola. Maiale Brasato. Vino rosso. The flavors of the Italian countryside come to Connecticut on Friday, May 29 at the “Evening in Tuscany” fundraising gala for Regional Hospice and Home Care Center for Comfort Care & Healing, to be held from 7 to 11:30 pm at The Waterview in Monroe.

“Old Italy will inspire new aspirations as we transform the ballroom into a Tuscan garden party, complete with a specially created wine pairing and several other surprises,” said Cynthia E. Roy, MS, LCSW, CHA, president and CEO of Regional Hospice & Home Care. “This is a one-of-a-kind, five- course, Tuscan-inspired menu that has never before been served at The Waterview.”

The Waterview executive chef, Nino Martino, will prepare his Tuscan creations, while Aaron Swart, Regional Hospice resident chef, will make a Tuscan zuppa course, in keeping with his comfort-food focus cooking for patients, families and staff at the hospice’s new Center for Comfort Care & Healing.

The Waterview ballroom will be transformed into a Tuscan garden party, with dancing, special performances, music, cocktails and a raffle of wonderful prizes. The evening will include a special wine pairing. Other Italian-themed surprises await!

To sample all the Tuscan offerings at the gala, please contact Felicia Saraceno at (203) 702-7435 or fsaraceno@regionalhospicect.org or log on to regionalhospicect.org/Events. Individual ticket price for the gala is $150 and includes cocktails, dinner and drinks, and dancing. Sponsorship opportunities include a $20,000 Diamond Presenting Sponsor, $7,500 Silver Photographer Sponsor, $5,000 Bronze Dessert Sponsor, $2,500 Copper Sponsor, $1,000 Green Sponsor and $500 Patron Sponsors. Donations of raffle items are also welcome.

“This will be a Tuscan wine and culinary experience you won’t want to miss,” said Roy.
