Volunteers Needed to Help Bethel's BIA Deliver Food to Local in Need on Dec. 19

In this week's Bethel Public Schools Newsletter 12-11-20 Superintendent of Schools Christine Carver encouraged residents to support Brotherhood in Action (BIA) by volunteering to deliver food on Saturday, December 19 between 9am and noon. Please read the instructions and message from Carver below.

This entrance is to the right (facing) of the Bethel United Methodist Church, between the church and the front of the building in which we are located. From this entrance, you will be directed to queue your vehicle in a drive-through line that will allow us to give you delivery assignments and load your vehicle. PLEASE REMAIN IN YOUR VEHICLE to limit the possibility of unnecessary social interaction. You will exit the parking lot via School St after your vehicle is loaded.

• All food handlers will be wearing gloves, and gloves will be made available to you on request for your delivery activities.

• At the delivery location, you will not be asked to have the recipient sign the delivery slip and are also asked not to enter the home. After verifying that they are home, LEAVE ALL BOXES OUTSIDE THE DOOR WITHOUT MAKING ANY PERSONAL CONTACT.

Remember, many of our recipients are at high risk, and it's more important not to risk exposure than to help them settle their groceries. Recipients will be made aware of these restrictions in advance.

PLEASE ENTER THE PARKING LOT FROM THE GREENWOOD AVENUE ENTRANCE ONLY.
