Boasting a Hollywood and New York showbiz career spanning more than 60 years, Danbury’s own, Don Morrow, has done it all: news announcer for Walter Cronkite and Lowell Thomas in the 1950s, TV game show host in the 60s, top on-air adman for America’s largest companies through the 80s and movie trailer voice for motion pictures movies from the 1960s through the 1990s, among them, “Titanic,” “Saving Private Ryan,” “Waking Ned Devine,” Clint Eastwood’s iconic westerns, and hundreds more. He opened the new millennium with a stop on Broadway in the hit, “Little Shop of Horrors.”
On Wednesday, November 15th at 1:30 pm, join Don at the Danbury Library as he shares his journey and a few engaging adventures from his just-released memoir, “How About a Martini?” You’ll meet a few friends he made along the way in ways you never knew them - guys like Jonathon Winters, Johnny Carson, Mel Brooks, Merv Griffin, actors Eli Wallach, Jack Warden, Christopher Plummer, Charles Nelson Reilly, Baseball Hall of Famer, Dizzy Dean, and many other stars that defined their era.
