Bethel's Byrd's Books sings a new song with Brookfield author, Rhoda Banks

Brookfield author, Rhoda Banks, is a licensed Clinical Social Worker who practices a prophetic, revelatory gift. For many years, she has ministered in song, and through her recent book, Davidic Worship: Strategies for Breakthrough in the End Times (a new, updated version of Dance as David Danced), reflects on the wisdom and influences of King David’s musical journey, how intimacy with God develops through worship, and how David relied on the Holy Spirit to bring him musical revelation that would bring healing.

On Tuesday, June 18th, 7:00pm to 8:30pm, join Bethel's Byrd's Books as Rhoda, who has sung in many choral performances throughout the Northeast, including Carnegie Hall, shares her personal means to capture those welcomed sound waves that move us from despair to hope, to sing a new song.

Rhoda will also sign copies of Davidic Worship at this special event, which is free and open to all. To save a spot or pre-order a book, go to https://conta.cc/2VTyPrx  Byrd's Books is located at 178 Greenwood Avenue, adjacent to The Toy Room and the nearby landmarked Opera House, across the street from the Bethel Public Library.

Often dealing with individuals living with chronic mental illness, Rhoda expands upon her work in her own words: "I see clients that are suffering from depression, anxiety and relationship problems. My specialty allows me to deal with issues of substance abuse and to work on bringing healing and restoration. I also work with the Military Support Program in Connecticut, where I counsel veterans returning from Iraq. I like seeing people being able to enjoy their life to the fullest. I am able to bring my expertise in revealing areas that are blocked and seeing them removed once again. I want to bring hope to the brokenhearted and see wounds healed."

Byrd's Books is open Tuesdays through Saturdays 10:00am to 6:00pm, Sundays 12:00 noon to 4:00pm. Byrd's Books' new location has on-street parking. Municipal parking is available at the Bethel Public Library across the street and the "Old Train Station" which is where Broken Symmetry now resides.

There are private lots nearby. For more information, go to byrdsbooks.com or call (203) 730 BYRD (2973).
