Holiday Baking Event with Samantha Seneviratne at Byrd's Books on Dec. 15

Byrd's Books will celebrate its eighth birthday on Sunday, Dec. 15 at 4 p.m. with author Samantha Seneviratne, who will discuss her cookbook, The Joys of Baking: Recipes and Stories for a Sweet Life.

Attendees who bake from the book and bring their goodies to the event will receive a $20 gift certificate to the bookstore. The author, as well as the rest of the group, will get the chance to sample your efforts. Boxes will be available for purchase to take baked goods home. Boxes can be purchased for a $10 fee, which will be directly donated to local no-kill shelter DAWS.
