ReStore Kitchen Expo in Danbury Feb. 23 to Feb. 27

ReStore to hold ReStore Kitchen Expo

Thanks to the generous donation of The Taunton Press of their test kitchens and all submitted kitchen items, Housatonic Habitat ReStore is hosting the ReStore Kitchen Expo - featuring top-of-line kitchen items submitted to The Taunton Press by major home brands.  The ReStore Kitchen Expo will take place at Housatonic Habitat’s 10,000 square-foot-resale warehouse from Tuesday, February 23 to Saturday, February 27.

The Taunton Press is extremely proud to donate the contents of our test kitchens to support Housatonic Habitat for Humanity.  We know the importance of providing affordable housing and glad to play our part.  The Taunton Press and the Roman Family have donated to Housatonic Habitat for more than a decade.

According to Housatonic Habitat’s Executive Director, Fran Normann, “We are very appreciative of the very-kind donation from The Taunton Press of their test kitchens and kitchen items.  The Taunton Press and the Roman Family have been long-time supporters of Housatonic Habitat.  With this, ReStore Kitchen Expo will allow us to sell top-of-the-line kitchen items to support the mission of providing affordable housing in the Greater Danbury region.”

“Home is key.  Families are facing food insecurities that impact home life. We can help by fundraising for this important cause”, stated Normann.  With that, Housatonic Habitat is partnering with the Connecticut Food Bank/Foodshare by donating 10% of total sales on all ReStore Kitchen Expo items.

“As food insecurity continues to increase in our state as a result of the pandemic, we are grateful for the continued support from our community. Thank you to Housatonic Habitat for finding a creative way to help us fight hunger in Connecticut,” said Jason Jakubowski, President, and CEO of Connecticut Food Bank/Foodshare.
