Aspiring musicians take over the Ridgefield Playhouse this weekend! From the Western Connecticut Youth Orchestra performing tonight (Friday) under the tent to Sunday’s Ridgefield Band Jam socially distanced inside the theater - this weekend is all about the next generation of musicians and the positive influence performing music has on youth. You can attend both performances and hear some of the most talented kids on the planet! 

This Sunday, June 6 at 4pm is Ridgefield BandJam 2021 at The Ridgefield Playhouse!  Local middle school and high school bands will perform LIVE on stage before a panel of celebrity judges ( including “American Idol” finalist Kimberly Locke, i95fm’s Morning Show host Ethan Carey, founder of Entourage Talent, Wayne Forte, and multi-platinum record producer Aaron Accetta) for the coveted title and great prizes which include – band cases courtesy of Calzone Case Co., as well as two hours of rehearsal time plus video production for the winning bands courtesy of Bach to Rock Ridgefield! The winning high school band will also have the opportunity to open for Eliot Lewis outside at The Playhouse tent on Sunday, June 20! 

Presented by Mountain Dew and sponsored by Bach To Rock, School of Rock Ridgefield, Lagond Music School, Hubbels Music School, i95FM & Calzone Case Co., BandJam encourages kids who are serious musicians to continue their love of performing and writing music.   

High School Finalists are: Electric Jane, Freedom Rockets, Gremlin Daycare, Groove Haven and Hablo Pescobar.  This year’s Middle School Finalists include: Fortuna, Skynet and Speed Limit.  Don’t miss the chance to see the next generation of musicians before they make it to the big time!  The event is hosted byaward-winningcomedian Christine O'Leary and will include a special performance by the Emperor of Rock and Roll - Richie Scarlet The Show of Shows

Scarlet has performed with everyone from Ace Frehely, Mountain, Sabastian Bach and more! Raffle tickets will be available for ticket holders to purchase for a chance to win Electric Guitar Pack courtesy of Guitar Center and one month of Lessons, both courtesy of Guitar Center.  This year, the event will also be livestreamed to watch from the comfort of your own home.
