Bethel’s Byrd’s Books celebrates Feral Creatures on October 5

Bethel’s Byrd’s Books Celebrates Kira Jane Buxton’s Newest Book, Feral Creatures, with Virtual Discussion on Tuesday, October 5th

Author Kira Jane Buxton, whose debut novel, Hollow Kingdom, was a finalist for the Thurber Prize for American Humor, spends her somewhat-free time with three cats, a dog, two crows, a charm of hummingbirds, five Steller’s jays, two dark-eyed juncos, and two squirrels. No wonder her newest book is entitled Feral Creatures, continuing the delightful exploits of an intrepid, handsome, fowl-mouthed crow named S.T., joined by a fabulous new cast of animal characters.

On Tuesday, October 5th, 7:00pm to 8:30pm, Bethel’s Byrd’s Books welcomes Kira for a virtual discussion of her unique work that’s sure to become a humor-full romp as you “wing” your way through another big-hearted, death-defying adventure, one in which S.T. faces many new challenges… plus his biggest one yet: parenthood. To reserve your spot, purchase a copy of the book, and more details, https://bit.ly/3EynRPU

Kira Jane Buxton has also been recognized by the Audie Awards and the Washington State Book Awards.  Hollow Kingdom was named a best book of 2019 by NPR, Book Riot, and Good Housekeeping. Oh yes, and she also includes a husband among her stable of inspiring creatures.
