As the new home of the weekly online author series, Write America, Bethel’s Byrd’s Books is pleased to welcome 14 writers to the program in November.
Spearheaded by writer Roger Rosenblatt, Write America features award-winning, nationally renowned authors, as well as new and emerging writers, in readings and conversations about how books and art might bridge the deep divisions in our nation.
The prestigious program is streamed on Byrd's Books' Crowdcast channel on Mondays, 7:00pm to 8:00pm, with special episodes included, such as an appearance by Academy Award-winning lyricist Alan Bergman on Wednesday, December 1st, as they arise. The virtual events are all free to attend.
The November schedule of conversations begins on Monday, November 1st with episode 34, featuring Carl Phillips, Kai Coggin, and Lloyd Schwartz. The November roster continues with:
episode 35 (Nov. 8) Major Jackson, Lee Herrick, and Frank Bidart
episode 36 (Nov. 15) Paul Muldoon, Paisley Rekdal, and Shane McCrae
