Bethel Restaurant Week is COMING! Local Eateries Register by February 13~

During Restaurant Week – February 27 – March 5 - Bethel restaurants and eateries, from Route 6 to downtown, will have the opportunity to show off to existing customers and attract new ones.

Sponsored by the Bethel Chamber of Commerce, the planning committee includes representatives of Broken Symmetry, Edison Kitchen and La Zingara (and its rooftop kitchen Vesta).

According to Chris Bruno, owner of Edison Kitchen, “Restaurant Week brings out the best in our restaurants. It is a time of friendly competition and an opportunity to showcase Bethel’s excellent restaurant scene. I see it as a gateway for restaurants to collaborate in marketing what Bethel has to offer.”

To participate, restaurants and other eateries, like delis and coffee shops, must register by February 13 by clicking here.

The committee has recommended two three-course price options: lunch $29.95 or $24.95 and dinner $44.95 or $39.95. Non-restaurant participants may offer alternative incentives, such as a percentage discount.

The week will be heavily promoted through local news outlets, social media, email and signage. A dedicated website will post all menus and incentives, which must be received by February 13. Please email them as a Word document to bethelchamberofcommerce@gmail.com

Edison Kitchen chef Molly King-Smith says she is still playing with menu ideas, but the starter will be oysters, for which the restaurant is known.

This is Bethel’s first Restaurant Week in several years, and the Chamber hopes it will be an annual event. “The pandemic was a difficult period for restaurants, and Restaurant Week is a way of saying ‘thank you’ for hanging in there and being creative, such as offering family take-out menus and outdoor dining,” said Janice Chrzescijanek, Bethel’s director of economic development. “It is also a way for restaurants to grow their customer reach and reputation, not to mention boost the local economy.”

Participation is free for 2023 Chamber members; the $100 non-member fee can be applied against the $175 Chamber membership.
