Bethel Library kicks off Summer Reading Challenge with Songs from the British Invasion on Thursday, June 15

To kick off our adult Summer Reading Challenge at the Bethel Library, we are having a special music/historical event on Thursday, June 15th at 6:30 pm.

We are pleased to welcome back Rick Spencer and Dawn Indermuehle who will provide information on "Songs from the British Invasion"! This event includes some of our favorite songs, along with historical background, from the cultural phenomenon that swept America when groups like The Beatles, Herman's Hermits, The Kinks, Gerry and the Pacemakers, The Dave Clark Five, The Rolling Stones and others hit the charts on this side of "the pond."

Rick Spencer and Dawn Indermuehle develop a series of theme-based music and history programs. They present songs that give cultural insight into interesting times, places and events in American history. Rick and Dawn carefully craft their vocals and accompaniment to sound as true to a song's era or style as possible. Rick and Dawn use these songs to illustrate the evolution of our nation's culture and history in an informative and entertaining way.  F
