Bethel Library's Health and Wellness Series: Why the Mediterranean Diet Is So Helpful with RVNAhealth Registered Dietitian Monica Marcello on Friday, June 9 from 1 to 2pm.

Join Monica Marcello, RVNAhealth Registered Dietitian, MS and Nutrition Educator, as she discusses the six (6) core principles that make the Mediterranean Diet the most researched and recommended eating pattern internationally, and provides actionable and inexpensive recommendations you can easily implement in your life.  Monica works with a wide range of patients, from those with critical cardiac illnesses to those seeking more preventative measures, and she emphasizes an anti-inflammatory eating style as the foundation for heart health and decreasing chronic inflammation.

Monica Marcello, MS, RD is RVNAhealth's registered dietitian and nutrition educator who promotes holistic health, longevity, and quality of life.  Monica's areas of expertise include disease prevention and treatment for many chronic and acute conditions.  Her primary concentration includes treating digestive disorders such as GERD (Gastroesophageal Reflux Disorder), IBS (Irritable Bowel Syndrome), SIBO (Small Intestinal Bacterial Overgrowth), and IBD (Inflammatory Bowel Disease).  Monica also has extensive experience in conditions such as heart disease, high cholesterol, diabetes, obesity, and weight management.
