Go Fund Me Launched for Bethel Fire Chief Scott Murphy and Family After House Fire

In the aftermath of a fire that resulted in extensive damage to Fire Chief Scott Murphy's Bethel home, fellow resident, Jay Oldham has created a Go Fund Me Page to help the Murphy family.

Thus far, $2,895 has been raised of the $25,000 fundraising goal. Support the family by making a donation here.

The Go Fund Me page states:

On the morning of February 15, 2020 Bethel, CT Fire Chief Scott Murphy found the kitchen and enclosed porch of his home on fire. Extensive damage to the structure and contents resulted, despite the rapid response and aggressive attack by responding firefighters.

Most of their personal possessions were lost in the fire. Chief Murphy, his wife, one of his children and grandchildren resided in the home.  They are now staying with relatives.

Chief Murphy, and his father before him, have faithfully served the Town of Bethel for many years. They now need our help! Please generously help this family in need!
