Every year during the month of May, Byrd's Books holds a summer bookmark contest. Kids and adults design a bookmark of a book they love. The bookstore has guest judges choose a winner and runner-up in each of five categories/age groups - then they print 100 copies each of the winning bookmarks.
The five winners receive a $25 gift certificate to Byrd's Books and 25 of their bookmarks to give away. The bookstore distributes the rest throughout the summer. Honorable mentions receive a $10 gift certificate.
Byrd's has decided to begin the contest now and continue through May, so entrants have plenty of time. There is one submission per person, and teachers may use them with students. The bookstore needs completed entries by May 31. Instructions for submitting them are on the entry form.
