Announcing the 8th Annual Choose Love Awareness Month™ in February

The Jesse Lewis Choose Love Movement™, providing no-cost, next-generation, character social-emotional development (CSED) programs, announced today its 8th Annual Choose Love Awareness Month during February 2022, to promote hope, healing and connection through living a Choose Love lifestyle. The Choose Love Movement honors six-year-old Sandy Hook victim, Jesse Lewis.

Choose Love Awareness Month is celebrated each year to encourage everyone -- students, educators, families, and communities across the country and the world -- to learn and share the Choose Love message. Each week in February will focus on a pillar of the Choose Love Formula:

Courage + Gratitude + Forgiveness + Compassion-in-Action = Choosing Love.

A go-to guide for fun and educational action items on how to Choose Love has been outlined in 10 Ways to Choose Love. Schools and individuals will be rewarded for participating throughout the month. For each of the 10 Ways completed, participants will be rewarded with a ticket redeemable for a raffle. Prizes include an iPad and Choose Love Store gift card.

A call for poems will be announced for the Choose Love Poetry Contest. Poems based on the Choose Love Formula will be accepted from February 1 through 28. Prizes will be awarded and the collection of poems will be bound and published for purchase (all proceeds will benefit the Choose Love Movement).

Choose Love curriculum provides essential life skills that infuses character education, emotional intelligence, positive psychology, neuroscience and mindfulness. Choose Love is one of the most successful CSED programs grown organically through word of mouth and now reaches over 3 million people in the United States and around the world.

"I believe our Choose Love message can help heal everyone suffering from anxiety and disconnection due to the turbulent times we're facing," said Scarlett Lewis, Founder & Chief Movement Officer of the Jesse Lewis Choose Love Movement. "CHOOSING LOVE IS A DIRECT PATH TO FLOURISHING AT ANY AGE."

About the Jesse Lewis Choose Love Movement

Jesse Lewis, a six-year-old first grader, was a victim of the Sandy Hook tragedy whose action saved the lives of nine classmates. Jesse left behind a message on a household chalkboard, "Nurturing Healing Love," that became the inspiration for his mother, Scarlett, to found the Choose Love Movement.

The Jesse Lewis Choose Love Movement is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization with a commitment to reach students, educators and individuals, and provide them with a simple, yet profound formula for choosing love.
