Bethel Arts Survey 4 Responders to Win Gift Cards

Bethel Arts, a grass-roots 501(c)(3) not-for-profit that supports arts in Bethel, is conducting a survey to determine the needs and desires of the community it serves.  To take the online survey use the QR code or click here. Deadline for responding is May 1.

Four survey responders will be randomly selected to win a $25 Bethel Buy Local Community e-gift card, which can be used at more than 25 local retailers and restaurants. Survey results will be used to develop a strategic plan for building a diverse and vibrant arts and cultural community in Bethel.

“Nurturing art in Bethel is our passion,” said Janice Chrzescijanek, chairman of Bethel Arts “We believe the arts drive economic and community development and create a diverse culture that will ultimately improve all of our lives.”  Ms. Chrzescijanek, who is also director of Economic Development for the Town of Bethel, was one of Bethel Arts’ original organizers.

Since its founding in 2013, Bethel Arts has partnered with property owners to provide creative spaces in downtown Bethel and hosted dozens of classes. A Public Art Program has provided various locations for artists to display their work. In 2018 it founded the ongoing Bethel Arts Jazz, which takes place Thursday nights at La Zingara. Other activities have included events, such as Comedy Nights; the awarding of grants for Outdoor Sculptor Exhibits, among others; and partnerships with organizations, like Bethel High School and the Cultural Alliance of Western CT, to co-sponsor programs and events.
