Highlights from Martin Luther King Jr. Day Celebration at Wooster School

Earlier this week, Wooster School students in grades 5 through 12, along with faculty and staff, gathered together in the Forever Young Gymnasium to remember Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

Reverend Stephen Tickner, Wooster Chaplain, organized a program that brought us together as a community to remember Dr. King and to learn about the history of our country. We watched excerpts from speeches Dr. King gave, which were powerful and moving. Claire Simard, Chair of Music and Performing Arts Department, organized several musical selections that complemented the presentation. These musical pieces were performed by our faculty band and sung by the Wooster Madrigals, and Dr. Tyrone Black, Director of Student Advancement. Additionally, members of our James Marshall Chapel Society provided historical context throughout the celebration.

Enjoy some highlights of the musical performances.
