Bethel High School Students Walkout, Call for Stricter Gun Laws & Honor Victims of Parkand, Florida Shooting

Today at 10:00 am, Bethel High School students joined housands of students and organizations across the country and "walked out" calling for stricter gun laws and honoring the 17 victims of the school shooting in Parkland, Florida that took place one month ago today. Today's walkout was spearheaded by organizers of the Women's March.

Bethel resident, Kristen Jensen, who lives on Milwaukee Ave, took the photos here. "The kids came marching down my street - brave courageous souls," said Jensen.

Another walkout, founded and organized by Ridgefield High School student Lane Murdock, will take place on April 20. #ENOUGH is scheduled to begin at 10 a.m. and last for 17 minutes to protest legislative inaction on gun policy. Learn more about Murdock's National School Walkout here.
