Town of Bethel COVID-19 Update: Town Hall to Close to Public, Town Launches Infoline

BETHEL TOWN HALL TO CLOSE TO THE PUBLIC

In compliance with Governor Lamont's Stay Home, Stay Safe executive order, please be advised that the Bethel Municipal Center will be closed to the public until further notice. This closure included the tax collector's office, which had previously remained open.

We encourage residents to access town services via the following methods:

  • Taxes and utility bills may be paid online, by phone or by US mail. Please see www.bethel-ct.gov and click the "Pay Taxes" box on the left side of the window.
  • To pay bills by phone, please call 855-329-3811 (You will need your bill number in order to pay by phone; please have it ready when you call).
  • Many other transactions involving the offices of the Town Clerk, Assessor and Land Use departments may also be available online. For services that cannot be transacted online, by phone or by US mail, please call or email the department you wish to access directly. Please visit the town website for a department contact list: www.bethel-ct.gov

All town hall offices will be on duty and staff will be available by phone during normal business hours. However, some staff members will be working remotely. In the event they do not pick up the call immediately, please leave a detailed message and they will call you back shortly.

Please be advised that when you receive a call back from the department, the caller ID may appear as "Private Caller." Staff members who are working remotely are being instructed to block Caller ID to protect the confidentiality of their personal information.
