President Biden sets new goal: safe family picnics by July 4, 2021

Dear Friends and Neighbors,

Considering the rapid increase in vaccine output and distribution programs, last night President Biden set an aggressive new goal to accelerate the pre-registration process and ensure all Americans have access to the vaccine by the end of May. His hope is to have enough of us vaccinated to allow normal family gatherings and backyard BBQ's by the July 4^th holiday.

Vaccines are now available through several sources. Here is a recap for pre-registrations:

CURRENT ELIGIBIITY:     Everyone aged 55 and older; 45+ will be eligible March 22

Many Bethel residents are registering with the Town of Bethel vaccine program, and also registering with VAMS and checking the CVS and Walgreen's websites to take advantage of open appointments as they come up. This is great, we encourage you to do so. But also, if you do get an appointment and get your shot, please call our Town of Bethel vaccine line to let us know to take your name off the list. This will make the volunteer's job of scheduling more efficient and allow them to reach more people. You can reach them at 203-794-8523.
