Bethel’s Very Own Beam Queen

Representing Kratos Gymnastics of Bethel, CT, ten-year-old level 7 gymnast Lydia Hodge of Bethel has attained the titles of balance beam champion at both the State & Regional level!  

On March 26, 2022 Lydia competed at USA Gymnastics Connecticut Level 7 State Championships held at the University of Bridgeport. As one of the youngest competitors Lydia wowed the judges and the crowd with elegance while competing the most difficult skills amongst her fellow competitors. Lydia earned 4th on bars, 1st place on beam, and 3rd all-around.  Her high placement outcome granted her a spot on the CT All-Star Regional team! 

On May 1, 2022 Lydia competed at the 2022 USA Gymnastics Region 6 Level 7 Regional Championships held at the MassMutual Center in Springfield, Mass.  The top qualifying competitors from the State Championships of Connecticut, New York, Rhode Island, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Vermont, and Maine performed in hopes of earning the title of Regional Champion.

Again as one of the youngest competitors in the competition, Lydia performed with poise and bravery, adding even more difficulty to her routines displaying the most challenging skills allowable in her level!

Lydia earned 4th all-around as well as the title of Regional Champion on the balance beam!
