Goodness Gracious, Great Balls of Fire! Meet Jerry Lee Lewis' Kid Sister Linda at the Palace Danbury on Aug. 26!

Goodness Gracious, Great Balls of Fire! Meet Jerry Lee Lewis' Kid Sister Linda on Friday, August 26 2022 8PM

Linda Gail Lewis is bringing her high-octane, piano-pumping show to The Palace Danbury where she'll pay homage to her brother and the birth of rock n’ roll!

Like her brother Jerry Lee, Linda Gail Lewis grew up to the sounds of hillbilly music and rhythm and blues in rural Louisiana. When Jerry Lee began to score hits with “Whole Lotta Shakin’ Goin’ On” and “Great Balls of Fire”, he single-handedly lifted the family from dire poverty to a life of relative ease.

Talent ran deep in this family! A professional musician since age 15, Linda recorded with her brother as well as several solo albums. At a time when most female artists were content with crooning sweet love songs for mainstream audiences, vocalist and pianist Linda Gail Lewis was following her own muse, singing rowdy and rousing versions of early rock classics like "C.C. Rider," "Jim Dandy" and "Baby (You've Got What It Takes)."

Today this Rockabilly Hall of Fame member tours the world spreading the gospel of boogie-woogie and first-era rock n’ roll!  She performs the hits from the era while interweaving her unbelievable stories of a young life spent on the road with her brother and the band.
