Bethel Community Rallies Behind Parker, Local Business Owners Hold Online Auction to Help Family

The Bethel community has been rallying behind a young boy who is battling cancer.

Three-year-old Parker Lollie, a resident of neighboring Danbury, was recently diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia. He’s had a rough go of it and spent a good deal of the summer months in Yale New Haven Hospital.

From prayers, to meals, and even a special Halloween visit from Bethel Fire Department, Parker Lollie and his family have been feeling the love.

Now, Bethel small business owners Phil and Diana Gooljar are stepping up and encouraging you to support their efforts to help the Lollie family.

Phil and Diana are using their comic book auction site Special FX Comics and Collectibles to hold a special online auction on Friday, December 2nd at 9pm EST.

Tune into Special FX Comics and Collectibles for Parker’s Auction. 20% of the total profit will go directly to the Lollie family.

Paying it forward - Special FX Comics and Collectibles named in honor of their son

"Our son is affected by something called “Fragile X Syndrome” or FX for short. Our fans, or “Fragilistics” as we call them, have been such a great support to our family and an incredible source of spreading awareness. We have been following sweet Parker’s story for some time now and knew we wanted to give back in some way to help them as we have been helped," explains Diana.

Diana says she has also reached out to all the local comic shops seeking donations toward the December 2 event.

Keep the prayers and good works going! The Lollie family needs you! Thank you to Phil and Diana!
