Update: Bethel resident Traci-Marie (Baxter) Jones, 52, died tragically, she was a stylist at Brittany Shears

Traci-Marie (Baxter) Jones, 52

Traci, unfortunately, died tragically, loved fiercely, and had a heart full of love. Traci is survived by her 3 beautiful children, Rebecca, Justin (Madison), and Lauren, Brother Paul, and Mother Donna Baxter, as well as fur baby Maxi.

Traci is predeceased by her father Larry A Baxter, Baxter and Lovejoy Grandparents, and biological daughter Kayla.

Traci was proud of her Danbury heritage. She cultivated lifelong friendships growing up starting in Mill Ridge to Henry Abbott Technical School to C&C unisex. Town lines didn’t stop her love, she grew lifelong friendships through Bethel Pop-Warner and all football moms.

Traci was a master colorist and stylist. She was also known as “Miss Traci” to her former Paul Mitchell students. From Paul Mitchell to C&C to her final stylist job at Brittany Shears in Bethel she loved what she could do with hair. She really was a magician and not just a beautician.

Traci met her calling as an aide at Bethel Health care. Any resident or family member was lucky to have Traci in their corner and she always looked out for any underdog.

Traci was an enthusiast of fun times. From Bingo to karaoke to line dancing and amusement parks she was all for excitement. She was big in spiritualism, Area 51, and of course TikTok which was made just for her.

Traci was a proud member of the VFW post #149 in Danbury CT Honoring her late father and every veteran. She also helped maintain the American flags on the soldier's graves at Wooster cemetery.

Traci was known as fun, funny, loyal, kind, and above all else a ray of sunshine! She will be missed by those she leaves behind.

In tribute to Traci please help promote legislation to protect victims of domestic violence.

As mom would always say:

Time is precious, waste it wisely!

The family will receive friends in the Jowdy-Kane Funeral Home, 9 Granville Ave., Danbury on Sunday, February 12, 2023, from 2 PM to 5 PM.
