Dan Carter's Bethel Community Update: Battle of the Badges, Garbage Collection Times, New Town Website, and More!

Local Garbage Collection

Some of our local waste haulers seem to be getting on the road earlier to beat the traffic and it has generated a few complaints this week. Bethel’s noise ordinance allows for waste haulers to pick up garbage and refuse after 6 a.m. in residential areas and 5:30 a.m. in  commercial/industrial zones Mondays through Saturdays. If you have issues with a hauler picking up in your neighborhood before these times, reach out to This email address is being protected from spambots. Electric Car Charging at Train Stations No Longer Free October 15

If you charge your electric car at the old and new train stations, be aware that the charging will no longer be free on October 15th. The fees will be set to cover the costs of electricity and the chargers only. We will also be looking to shift our electric savings over to installing more chargers around town.
