You're IT Famous Pizza!

Three questions with Perry Anastasakis, owner of Famous Pizza.

Why did you start your business?

My parents George & Pauline Anastasakis started the business in 1982 when they were passing through Bethel & thought Bethel would be the perfect place to raise their children and pursue their American dream.  We grew up in the family pizzeria and after attending college and working in the corporate world, I decided in 1997 it was time to come back home and take the family business to the next level.  My brother-in-law Anthony Caffrey joined me as a partner soon after to expand the business to better serve the growing needs of our customers

How many people do you employ? Any youth or seniors from the community?

We employ approx. 30 people, many of which are longtime employees that have been with us for over 10 years.  We also have a number of high school & college students from Bethel.  We emphasize the values of hard work, pride, and consistency that were passed down from our parents to all our employees.  My brother, sister and I are products of the Bethel public school system and all of our children attend the Bethel public schools.  We feel a strong commitment to our community that has supported us over 35 years.

How many local businesses do you use to support your business (products and services) and can you name them?

We always make an effort to support our local neighbors.  It always comes in handy to have Caraluzzi's across the street in case of emergencies.  We use Auto Chlor located down the street for all our dishwasher needs and Berkshire Refrigeration is always a phone call away.  Belardinelli Tire has saved us many times and our friends at Mack Media in Brookfield have done a great job with digital services including video production.  Redding Roasters & O'neils keeps me caffeinated which is very important.  Colonial Flooring helped us with our flooring issues and Bethel Upholstery is currently doing our booth repairs.  We have partnered with many other businesses like Bethel Cinema, Giggling Pig Studio, & Cream & Sugar Cafe by providing pizzas for their parties.  We are very fortunate to be in such a great community that supports each other.

Famous Pizza is located at 1 P.T. Barum Square. Vist them online here.

I tag the guys at Bethel Power...they do a great job carrying the best products and their service is top notch!
