Bethel's Byrd's Books Makes the Holiday a Good Read for Young Folks

"A signed book is the perfect gift,"  says owner Alice Hutchinson of Bethel's Byrd's Books, "and a wonderful stocking stuffer for young and old alike." To encourage a visit to the popular shop's extensive collection of children's and young people's books, Alice is hosting authors Jessica Haight and Stephanie Robinson on Tuesday, December 18th, 5:00pm to 6:00pm, when they'll discuss and sign their books, "The Secret Files of Fairday Morrow" and "Fairday Morrow and the Talking Library". Jessica and Stephanie are popping over from writing workshops at the Bethel Middle School to share how they came to write the adventures of young sleuths Fairday, Lizzy, and Marcus, how they got their ideas, and for those who are curious...what's coming next.

The event is free; reservations are encouraged. To RSVP, click here.

Byrd's Books is located at 178 Greenwood Avenue, adjacent to The Toy Room and the nearby landmarked Opera House, across the street from the Bethel Public Library.

In "Fairday Morrow and the Talking Library", the authors ask: What happens to stories when words get eaten? The Detective Mystery Squad -  Fairday, Lizzy, and Marcus - is ready to investigate and take off on a sticky trail and tumble into Nowhere. Like Alice in Wonderland, Fairday finds herself in a world where nothing makes sense and the lines of reality are blurred. The three sleuths discover amazing things about themselves as they unlock the Talking Library. The Fairday Morrow books are aimed to entertain ages 9 to 12.
