Byrd's Books welcomes Bethel schoolteacher and children's literature expert, Robert Zupperoli

What do There's a Dinosaur on the 13th FloorThe Adventures of a Girl Called Bicycle, and When You Grow Up to Vote have in common? They are all books written for young audiences and appear on a select list of the "Best Children's Books of 2018", compiled by Bethel schoolteacher and children's literature expert, Robert Zupperoli. As a career educator, Robert reviews and writes curriculum for the major publishers of literature for youth. On Tuesday, January 15th, 6:30pm to 9:00pm, Byrd's Books will welcome Robert back to present his annual comprehensive look at the field and what surprises and delights it offered to young (and old) readers in 2018. Byrd's Books is located at 178 Greenwood Avenue, adjacent to The Toy Room and the nearby landmarked Opera House, across the street from the Bethel Public Library.

Robert's slide show presentation, along with book samples designed for educators and use in the classroom, is a wonderful way for adults to learn about some of the best in children's books of 2018 and, perhaps, uncover what authors to look for in 2019.  All are welcome, and anyone who's registered for the evening will receive complementary handouts. To register, visit https://conta.cc/2sbia6k For more information, go to byrdsbooks.com or call (203) 730 BYRD (2973).
