Why Small Businesses Matter

Shop small, do big things for your community

Why Small Businesses Matter puts a spotlight on the local merchants who donate their time, talent, goods, and services for the betterment of our community. The shop local movement spreads virally as local businesses who are “tagged” have the opportunity to share their story.

You're IT The Giggling Pig Art & Party Studio!

Three questions with Hannah Perry, owner of The Giggling Pig Art & Party Studio.

Why did you start your business?

I started my business to provide the community with a space that allows them to be creatively free. Without judgement. We value each and every connection we make with the public and work hard to grow. Being part of a community in this way and providing a service that makes a difference is extremely rewarding.

What is your best selling product/service?

One of our biggest sellers is our camps. Being licensed by the state allows us to be open full days for the families. Having an array of activities each day really keeps the campers engaged and entertained.

How many people do you employ? Any youth or seniors from the community?

We have many employees with the 2 locations (around 15) but our Bethel store employees 3 adult members of the Bethel community a long with 2 high school students too. We are fortunate to have such like minded staff who really understand the concept of the business and value what we are trying to achieve.

The Giggling Pig Art & Party Studio is located at 4 Library Place in Bethel. They have a second location in Shelton. Visit them online www.thegigglingpig.com or call: (203) 919-1153.
