Bethel's Byrd's Books taps your Creativity on Sept 24

It's obvious.  "Your ability to be creative under pressure is what separates you from the pack," writes Todd Henry, author of The Accidental Creative. "This book is full of practical tools and tips to help you unleash your creative brilliance," he says about Kathryn P. Haydon's new book, The Non-Obvious Guide to Being More Creative.

On Tuesday, September 24th, 7:00pm to 8:30pm, the author will conduct a special workshop and talk about her tap-your-creativity book at an evening at Bethel's Byrd's Books, answering such questions as: Why do some people seem more creative, and how can you be one of them? How can you have a continuous flow of actionable new ideas at work? What does it take to think differently when you are surrounded by people who don't?

Haydon's guidebook, published as an edition of the Non-Obvious Guide Series, "an irreverent collection of business advice from real experts," is filled with useful, immediately actionable advice for applying your best thinking at work.  To join her and tap your creativity, go to https://conta.cc/2lqy2lr  The event is free to the public. Byrd's Books is located at 178 Greenwood Avenue, adjacent to The Toy Room and the nearby landmarked Opera House, across the street from the Bethel Public Library.

An award-winning educator, Kathryn P. Haydon has written and spoken widely on creative learning and the secret strengths of outlier thinkers. Kathryn writes a monthly column for The Creativity Post, has written extensively for publications and journals, her writing has appeared in The Washington Post, and she is a published poet. Kathryn earned her BA in Spanish literature and culture at Northwestern University and her MS in creativity and change leadership from the acclaimed International Center for Studies in Creativity at SUNY, Buffalo. Kathryn began her career as a banker in Chicago but a move to California catalyzed the discovery of her true calling as an entrepreneur. She founded Ignite Creative Learning Studio which evolved into Sparkitivity, now based near New York City.

Byrd's Books is open Tuesdays through Saturdays 10:00am to 6:00pm, Sundays 12:00 noon to 4:00pm. On-street parking lines Greenwood Avenue, and municipal parking is available at the Bethel Public Library across the street and at the "Old Train Station" which is where Broken Symmetry now resides. There are private lots nearby as well. For more information, visit byrdsbooks.indielite.org or call (203) 730 BYRD (2973)
