Three questions with La Diferencia Bethel owners, Gilda Sarceno and Luis Martinez.
Why did you start your business?
Gilda: It's always been a dream for us to have a place to call our own, after watching my husband build restaurants all over the place (Las Mañanitas and Fiesta Mexicana in Brewster are some of his works). I've seen the passion for the food instilled by professional chefs and wanted to be able to share some of it with our friends, family, and guests. Finally, it came true! Seeing our guests love it gives us a sense of accomplishment even though we know its just the beginning of a very long road.

Luis: I wish I could reach each and every family in our Bethel and beyond to share our passion for Mexican food, our culture, unique spices and good service! There are so many things that make our restaurant unique.
Best selling product or service?
Our best selling item is our Margaritas, whether you want it traditional lime or Prickly Pear or any of the other seven different flavors and many combinations and liquor brands. We have a great Happy Hour and an attractive dining room. This is followed closely by our tableside Fresh Guacamole made with mostly locally sourced ingredients.

Sunday - Thursday: 11:00 AM - 9:00 PM, kitchen closes at 9 PM and bar until the last customer leaves
Friday - Saturday: 11:00 AM - 10:00 PM, kitchen closes at 10 PM and bar until the last customer leaves
