Why did you start your business?
There many reasons that led me to open Effleurage & Ki. But my main driving force was my passion to help and improve peoples lives. I knew I had the skills necessary to create an integrative practice allowing me to help clients relax and relieve symptoms associated with there issues. Massage and Energy work are not a substitute for medical treatments, but it does complement conventional medical care and supports a person's body to be in the best condition to heal.

I wish I could improve the health and wellness of our community by providing a variety of treatments in a relaxing environment. I never wanted to be the SPA type therapist, my intention from day one was to have an integrated practice that will treat my clients as the individuals as they are. Each client that walks through my door comes with his/her own set of symptoms - I try to work together with them to reach the best possible outcome.

Manual Lymphatic Drainage Massage (MLD) has become effective and sought out technique. My clients rave about the results they get from this very light touch massage. I have treated clients with fibromyalgia, chronic inflammation, peripheral edema and post-operative inflammation with amazing results. Studies show inflammation is at the root of the disease. MLD treatments cleanse the body and boost the immune system. I use the Vodder technique. Using very light pressure, pumping and long rhythmic strokes get the lymph fluid moving and directs the toxins into the organs that can properly remove them. Simply applied pressure to re-stimulate the natural contractions of the lymphatic system. This will move the stagnant fluid back into the natural lymph flow of the body.
