Why Small Businesses Matter
Shop small, do big things for your community
Why Small Businesses Matter puts a spotlight on the local merchants who donate their time, talent, goods, and services for the betterment of our community. The shop local movement spreads virally as local businesses who are “tagged” have the opportunity to share their story!
You're IT Real Estate Agent Jennifer Carbone!
Four questions with Jennifer Carbone.
Why did you start your business?
I recently became a part of Howard Hanna Rand Realty, a small boutique real estate office on Greenwood Avenue. Here in Connecticut, few people know that HHRR is a part of the largest family-owned real estate company in the country.
I have lived in Bethel for 20 years and love to rent and sell in the community where I live. I enjoy seeing people strolling downtown and enjoy when recent clients pop in to tell me how much they love their new homes. It makes me so happy!
What is your best-selling product/service?
Well-priced homes and condos in Bethel are quick to sell in this market. And, Bethel has recently come into its renaissance period. Great restaurants, small businesses, and a terrific park and rec department with so many arts and sports activities for the kids. Many young families are moving into town which makes this a vibrant fun community!
How many local businesses do you use to support your business (products and services) and can you name them?
Bringing new people into town spreads love to all area businesses and restaurants.
Have you "reimagined" your small business?
Yes. Instead of being the transactional real estate agent in town, I like to be the friendly neighborhood information center. I love recommending all the neighborhood restaurants, shops, and services in the area. And of course, I will be happy to advise on home staging and free evaluation of your home as well. If you have a question about something in town pop in and I will find the answer!
