State Representative Raghib Allie-Brennan of Bethel Nominated for Second Term

On Monday, May 18th, 2nd District Democrats unanimously nominated incumbent State Representative Raghib Allie-Brennan of Bethel for a second term in the State House of Representatives following a virtual convention.

Allie-Brennan addressed the delegates by Zoom conference call at his home in Bethel.

“I believe the most important thing we’ve done is bring compassion, transparency, and accessibility to this office,” Allie-Brennan said. “I’m proud to be a Democrat but I’m committed to serving all of my constituents, without regard to party.”

The 2nd District encompasses parts of Bethel, Danbury, Redding, and Newtown.

Allie-Brennan enters the election season already qualified for the Connecticut Citizens Election Program which is public campaign financing.
