Bethel residents can cast their VOTE for First Selectman on February 7, 2023

Town of Bethel Notice of Special Election on Tuesday, February 7, 2023, for First Selectman

Pursuant to the Town of Bethel Charter §C5-4 B. (4), and the State of Connecticut Election Laws. The electors of the Town of Bethel are hereby warned to meet at their respective polling places in said town on TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 7, 2023, for the following purpose:

To cast their vote for First Selectman

View Absentee Ballot and Sample Ballot

Candidates are:

Former State Rep. Dan Carter (Republican)

Current acting First Selectman,  Rich Straiton 

Notice is hereby given that the location of the polling places is as follows:

Voting District                  Polling Place

I                                        CJH Municipal Center
(1 School Street)

II                                       Stony Hill Fire Department
59 Stony Hill Road)

III Berry School
(Whittlesey Drive)

IV Stony Hill Fire Department
(59 Stony Hill Road)

Absentee Ballots will be counted at the following central location: Bethel Municipal Center – Voting District I

Optical Scan voting machines will be used.  

The polls will be opened at six o’clock (6:00 a.m.) in the morning and will remain open until eight o’clock in the evening (8:00 p.m.)
