Bethel Police Warn Residents of Snapping Turtle Located Inside Dog Park at Meckauer Park

***ATTENTION DOG PARK VISITORS***

 

On Sunday, June 26, 2022, the Bethel Police Department was notified of a snapping turtle that was located inside the Dog Park at Meckauer Park.

 

The turtle was safely removed, however, we want to remind visitors that snapping turtles are active this time of year; please survey the area before releasing your dog into the park.

 

Should a snapping turtle be located, do not approach it or attempt to move it. Please contact the Bethel Police Department for assistance.
