On February 1, 2020, the New York State Police from the Somers barracks conducted a distracted driver detail on Interstate 684.
During the detail members at SP Somers issued a total of 50 vehicle and traffic tickets which included 17 speeding tickets, 8 Move Over Law, 10 cell phone, 4 seat belt, and 11 other violations.
