SUNY Oneonta is one of 28 colleges and universities featured in Billboard magazine's recently released list of "Top Music Business Schools." for 2020. The college currently enrolls 250 students in its music industry program, which is known for giving students uncommon opportunities and hands-on experience.

Alumnus of the program includes Scott Harris, who earned a Grammy nomination for Shawn Mendes’ “In My Blood” and has also written songs for P!nk, Jessie J, Bebe Rehxa and Khalid.
