
The snowfall totals for the Hudson and Harlem valleys were close but no quite what the predictions said they were going to be. Most forecasts called for more then a foot a snow throughout the region with higher elevation and western regions were predicted to receive 18 inches or more of the white stuff.
In Westchester county most towns received 10-11 inches while Putnam and Dutchess Counties to the north had varying amount. Brewster received 7.2 inches while next door in Carmel 10 inches fell, according to the National Weather Service reports.

There are several reports that Binghamton, NY received anywhere from 36 inches to 41 inches while in Albany, NY anywhere from 18 to 23 inches fell according to sources.
According to boston.cbslocal.com, most of Western Massachusetts saw 14 inches while the eastern part of the state (Boston area) had 9 inches of snow.
