Area Dancers Attend Ballet Master Class in NYC

On February 20^th, 28 dancers from Seven Star School of Performing Arts had the opportunity to take a ballet master class at the Ballet Academy East (BAE) in New York City. The dancers were taught by members of the BAE faculty.  Afterwards, students attended the BAE Dance Workshop Performance which was performed at Ailey Citigroup Theater.

Anita Intrieri-DiTomaso, Seven Star School’s Ballet Director and former BAE Faculty member, organizes this annual field trip. Offering master classes to students allows them to learn from different teachers with diverse teaching styles and experiences. They come back and apply what they have learned. This is a great opportunity to take class in a prestigious ballet school and then to observe quality classical ballet technique.

 “It is heart warming to see a group of our students taking classes in a NYC ballet school,” states Seven Star School co-owner, Donna Aravena. “It gives them the ability to see what could be in their future.”
