Maloney Hosts Press Conference with Local Superintendents Announcing Over $200 Million for NY-18 School Districts

The American Rescue Plan delivers a total of $170.3 billion in funding for education across America

Rep. Sean Patrick Maloney (NY-18) will host a press conference today with local superintendents to announce the influx of over $200 million for Hudson Valley School Districts. They will detail how the funding will be spent and when children can expect to return full-time to school.

The American Rescue Plan Act is Congress’s most sweeping COVID-19 response to date and will provide an estimated $170.3 billion in funding for education, including nearly $14 billion to New York’s childcare, Head Start, K-12, and higher education programs. School districts in New York’s 18th Congressional district will receive over $200 million alone.
