Come one, come all, celebrate, and be entertained by Sherman’s own Rob Brereton, a pioneer of contemporary Mountain Dulcimer playing. Named National Flatpicking Champion, Winfield Kansas, Brereton has captivated audiences nationally, internationally, and south of the border with his Appalachian folk music. His work is featured on the recording “Someone to Watch Over Me’ currently available on iTunes and CD Baby. All ticket profits were donated to Merryall Art Center.
Tap your feet, hum along to Brereton’s favorite generational classics from artists like John Denver, Joni Mitchell, James Taylor, Simon & Garfunkle, and many more favorites showcasing Brereton’s dulcimer skills along with his guitar playing and vocals. Additionally, many of his talented musician friends will join Rob on stage.
When not mesmerizing audiences on stage, Brereton does it in classrooms in New Haven and directs choirs in both Sherman and New Fairfield.
