Pegasus, a renowned 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization specializing in providing therapeutic horseback riding and equine-assisted services, proudly announces the upcoming 3rd Annual Gala, "Denim and Diamonds Dance." The event will take place at Pegasus Farm in Brewster, NY, on Saturday, September 30, 2023. Pegasus has been a dedicated force since its inception in 1975, empowering people with special needs, military veterans, first responders, and at-risk or disadvantaged youth to achieve newfound strength and confidence.
Throughout its illustrious 45-year journey, Pegasus has touched the lives of thousands of children and adults, making a profound impact on their futures and those of their families. Pegasus operates as a PATH International Premier Accredited Center serving communities in New York and Connecticut.
The 3rd Annual Gala "Denim and Diamonds Dance" promises to be a night of celebration, connection, and support. The event is expected to welcome around 300 guests from Fairfield and Westchester counties. During the gala, Pegasus will pay tribute to Joe Cusato, a dedicated individual whose commitment and benevolence have been instrumental in advancing the Equine Assisted Services community. Alongside last year’s honoree, Sue McGraw, Joe serves on Pegasus' Board of Directors and has personally experienced the life-changing impact of the organization's programs through the participation of his two children in the therapeutic riding program.
Funding for Pegasus' vital initiatives largely depends on charitable giving, with over 90% of its annual operating budget coming from generous donations. In addition to fundraising drives, the organization holds various events throughout the year to support its programs.
