
A young woman named Viola washes ashore in the Hamptons after a shipwreck that she believes has taken the life of her brother. She disguises herself as a man to earn a spot in the Duke Orsino's household, where she becomes a quick favorite of the Duke. She is sent to woo the Countess Olivia for Orsino, despite being in love with Orsino herself. Chaos ensues when Olivia falls for Viola as Cesario instead!
Throughout this love mess, Sir Toby, Sir Andrew and Mariah play a cruel joke on Malvolio a puritanical servant of the Countess. And popping into each of the stories, the jester Feste, whose riddles and wit both add to and clarify the confusions of the plot.
Presented by the Cultural Arts Coalition and under the direction of Antonia Carey, Twelfth Night performs November 11 and 12 at 8pm, and November 12 and 13 at 3pm at the Studio Around the Corner at 67 Main Street, Suite 101 in Brewster, NY.
